FEBRUARY

My last training trip before my grant ended was to Oklahoma City.
I was lucky enough to get invited to a party
welcoming the Men's US Olympic Rowing Team.
I felt shorter than usual!

Rare Texas snow....Kate was working and decided to build a Babe's Snowman.
  My date for Valentine's Day--Handsome Rhett - 2 months

The traditional parting gift when leaving the program at the Health Department is an "Epi" Mug.
It was inscribed with my first and last day...loved that they picked a pink and girly looking mug.

Aubrianne decided to be creative with Elle's pig-tails...
Elle burst into tears...saying she didn't like "crazy piggies".

My 50th Birthday was this month....I got flowers...
this awesome necklace from the kids with all of their initials (waxingpoetic.com)
including a little E and R for  my babies!

and a signed and numbered print from Brannon.
(Noah's Ark is one of my favorite stories...the reminder that
God keeps His promises if we are faithful and obey!!!)

more birthday party images on a separate page!
Check out the 50th birthday page.

APRIL

Love Kate's creative lace head band.
Elle and her favorite person!  (she was also our server of all things yummy!)

Mommia and Elle went to an Easter Egg Hunt at Firewheel Mall
Elle picked out her first Build-A-Bear - she named her Pinky!

Mother's Day Flowers from Aubri and Rusty
Kate - Road trip to Utah - to interview for a job and helping a friend move.

Kate flying back from Utah got stranded in Denver ---

Surprise!!!!...Court flying back to Cali from Indy 500 was also
stuck on a long layover in Denver.  They were 10 gates apart for about 2 hours
when  Court saw the above posting from Kate on Facebook...they were able to spend
a few hours together before Court's flight finally left...(Kate had to stay overnight)

JUNE
Court in Salt Lake City to watch a race.  Met up with cousin's Lewis (left) and Alex (right).
Brannon and Court in SLC at the race.

Kate and her friend during  "Bug Summer" -
They were the star's of pest control sales...
especially against all those boys!

Guess who caught the bouquet at Jessica's wedding open-house in Dallas???

JULY

I was blessed to again go see Brannon in Nauvoo, IL
The great fun  was getting to go with my sweet friend Christina Evens.
Our girls, Kaitlyn and Hope went and we had a fantastic time.

Brannon sings in the musical "Our Story Goes On".

Brannon as a character 'Elijah Fordham' on stage for the Nauvoo Pageant.

Brannon helping the Bagpiper's by stepping in and playing snare for them.
(Yes, it is his kilt)

We went to a bridal shower for Honey (my stepdaughter) and Rhett met a cute girl!

My nephew Trenton Duke got married to a beautiful sweet girl Gaby in July.
Elle was the flower girl...she was quite nervous at the beginning,
but so excited to make it to the front where mom and dad were watching!

AUGUST
While we were melting here in 112 degree heat here in Texas, Court sent a picture of his
backyard (yes, he lives on the beach in Longbeach, CA).
He runs on the beach and rides a bike to keep fit.
He found that these shoes are the best for running on the sand!
Kate celebrated her 22nd birthday with lots of friends.
Here are a couple of them that we also ran into in Nauvoo!

SEPTEMBER

For Labor Day weekend, I went to Oklahoma with Liz and Mollie to Western Hills Lodge.
We swam, played games and walked.  Great getaway ....as Kate had just moved to Utah.
 Elle started preschool!
She was so excited with having a backpack...
of course, her silky blanket went too!

Brannon went on a three week dream trip to Italy and England.
He went to the Opera as well as all other sites important to see
in Rome, Milan and Florence.

No...he is not auditioning for the Capitol One commercial,
just checking out his Viking look.

He stayed with a friend from BYU who lives near London.
Tried on footie jammies....jealous much?

He also sang at the wedding of good friend Alexandria and new husband Peter
in Jersey, one of the channel islands.

OCTOBER
IN MEMORY
I lost my sweet Bailey on October.  He was my sweet friend and cuddle buddy.
He had been a part of our family since the summer of 1998.  I miss him very much.
(p.s. Dear Bailey--I forgive you for bringing the live mouse in the front door this summer.)
REST IN PEACE SWEET KITTY
This is the last picture I have of him...
taken in September 2011
 while sleeping on my bed.

Aubrinne's Birthday - October 1

WEDDINGS
October was a wedding month for us.
Most exciting was Honey and Micheal's wedding.
Kaitlyn and Aubrianne were bridesmaids.
It was in a lovely chapel in Kaufman called The Victorian Place.

At the rehearsal dinner.

The Next Wedding

Aubrianne's best friend from High School, Courtney Rosemeyer
(took missionary lessons at our house and joined the church) met her eternal companion at BYU-Idaho.
Aubrianne flew to Salt Lake and she and Kaitlyn drove to Rexburg for the Wedding at the Rexburg Temple.

NOVEMBER

Court shows off his giant steak....yep, he ate it all!

Another Wedding.....Vivian Bishop (Rusty's sister)
came to Dallas to get married.
As you can see...Elle is crazy about her Aunt Fifi!

Mom and Elle in cute matching outfits for the wedding.

Kate has been living in Provo, Utah since September.
These are two of her roommates.
They spent a fun evening in Salt Lake City at Temple Square.

When preparing for the many cousin's who would be coming for Aunt Vivian's wedding.
Aubrianne was able to borrow a bounce house for everyone to enjoy and also to keep for
Ellianne's first birthday.  She and Rhett decided to give it a test run.

DECEMBER

Elle had a friend party and a family party...
but she was so excited to bake cupcakes for preschool!
 She even wore mommy's apron
Rhett turned 1 on December 13!
He loved his cake and icing!!!
Kate and a friend enjoy the Christmas Lights
at Temple Square in SLC.

Elle was not happy about sitting on Santa's Lap this year.
Rhett wondered what all the fuss was about.

Brannon on Christmas Eve at cousin Eric's house.
Court and cousin Lewis

Brannon and Elle take charge of the annual Gingerbread House building.
Elle loved the bag of frosting the best...for days after,
she kept asking if she could have a bag of sugar!!!

THE ARBORETUM

The trip to the Dallas Arboretum
was a great way to end the month.
The weather was warm and sunny -
 a lucky break for December.

Brannon and Rusty seemed to enjoy the wagon as much as the kids.
The princess theme was perfect for Elle as we saw many fairy tale 'castle's'.

Rhett found a stick and was as happy as can be...
of course he want to find things to hit with it...such a total boy.

Don't Brannon and Rusty look cozy in the wagon together?
